Meet Naz

Born 19 July, 1987 Abovyan, Armenia. Sharing a deep-rooted love of art, the family spent much of their time playing, singing and painting together.

She began singing at age six when she began her education. Graduate of Yerevan’s Romanos Melikyanstate musical college, where she excelled in composing. She is an author of more than 100 songs in classical, folk, jazz, rock music genres. Her songs have been performed by opera singers of Armenia in different concerts . Renowned Armenian composer and pianist Robert Amirkhyanyan described her songs as magical creations.

Graduated of Mkhitar gosh Armenian-russian international university -higher educational establishment, with a master’s degree in jurisprudence. She is an author of scientific articles; ” object as a concept in civil law” and ”crisis in property law”. From 2011 to 2014 she worked in an international organization ”save the children” as a trainer, coordinator and monitor, trying to make a change in the lives of children with special needs in the field of their awareness of law and their rights. But her passion for painting had been following her everywhere. In 2015 Naz moved to Canada and started her career as an artist. In 2017 she participated in a charity exhibition dedicated to Artsakh/in donation to fine arts school of shushi/. In 2018 Naz participated in an art exhibit dedicated to the victims of the 1988 earthquake in Armenia, organized by AGBU Toronto.

In 2019 she had a solo exhibition in Jordan/Amman/. Naz imagines views and shows them through paintings. In her paintings you can see her vision of world, beliefs, feelings, valuable things in her life. She just started her journey in a beautiful and endless world of painting. Naz Toroyan is married to Levon Avetisyan. They have two daughters.
